Bend, OR – More than half the field was unable to finish both runs of the men's giant slalom on Wednesday, but fortunately three of the Clarkson University Alpine Ski team's entrants were among those that did complete the event as the Golden Knights came in fourth on day two of the USCSA National Championships at Thunderbird - Mount Bachelor.

The Golden Knights placed fourth among 27 teams in the event, just missing out on a podium spot for the second straight day. The Clarkson women will participate in the slalom when the USCSA Nationals resume on Thursday.

Of the 142 skiers in the field, 41 were unable to complete their first run and another 35 dropped out in the second, leaving only 66 skiers to record complete times. Edouard Brochu was Clarkson's top performer, posting consistent times in the top 20 in each of his runs to place 15th overall with a time of 2:08.70. Reed Martin had a similar result for the day, ending up in 19th thanks to placing 21st in the opening run and 20th in the second run, finishing in 2:10.04. Noah Marino's time proved valuable as it would have dropped the team down the standings, as he closed out his two trips down the hill in 2:14.33, good enough for 31st overall. Both Jackson Knobloch and Josh Jusiak were among the first group that did not finish the opening run.
