The Series: Three of the last four meetings between the two teams have been decided by a single goal, with Clarkson picking up the win at home a year ago, 13-12. Griffin Emerson played the final 45 minutes of last year's contest, picking up the win with 10 saves and seven goals allowed.

Key Stats for Clarkson (8-6, 1-4 Liberty League): Graduate student Matt Szwagulinski is putting the finishing touches on an outstanding season for the Golden Knights. Szwagulinski has 52 groundballs, four short of his total from a year ago. The last non-faceoff player with more than 55 groundballs in a season for Clarkson (besides Szwagulinski's 56 in 2024) was Andrew Kott, who posted 57 in 2009. Brad Ciszewski recorded 60 in 2005. Szwagulinski also ranks 11th nationally in caused turnovers per game (2.93 ctpg) and his 41 are tied for the most in the league since 2023. The last time any player surpassed 50 in the conference was the 2015 season.

Key Stats for Ithaca (8-7, 2-3 Liberty League): The Bombers control their own destiny for a playoff spot, as the team would clinch a postseason berth with a win against Clarkson thanks to what would be victories of the Knights and Union. Ithaca has done its damage with defense and not offense, as the team has reached double figures in goals only twice in the past six games. Goalkeeper Andrew Minard ranks 10th in the NCAA Division III in goals against average (7.22 gaa) and 37th in save percentage (.574). Lucas Proctor leads the team in scoring with 40 points (22-18-40) and Tim Rogers is the team's most opportunistic scorer when the team is on the man-up, having scored five goals that way this year.
