Bend, O.R.- USCSA Nationals continued for the Clarkson University Nordic Skiing teams on Wednesday with day two of the event being the Classic Sprint at the Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center in Oregon. 

In the Classic Sprint, skiers first compete in quarterfinals, split into two divisions A and B, and must then qualify for the semi-finals and finals of their respective divisions. 

The men finished the day locked in seventh place, out of 18 schools, with 66 points, seven points behind the University of Wisconsin-Madison in sixth and seven ahead of the University of Minnesota-Duluth in eighth. Paul Smith's College would pace the field with 20 points, as the University of Wyoming (23) and St. Olaf College (29) rounded out the top-three. 

Finn Payne paced the field for Clarkson, finishing 11th out of 79 skiers, overall. Further back, Matthew Clarner crossed in 28th while Joey Rouhana completed the team scoring for the Golden Knights in 34th at . Silas Bartol in 46th, Torsten Brickley in 54th and Adam Jansen in 58th made up the remainder of Knights in action on the second day. 

On the women's side, Clarkson wrapped up proceedings in 14th for the second straight day with 135 points, out of 17 schools competing. St. Olaf College would again lead the field with just seven points overall, with the University of Wyoming (14) and Western Colorado University (28) making up the remainder of the top-three. 

Skylar Francis continued to lead the Golden Knights, with a 38th place finish out of 57 skiers. Classmates Raegan Joly and Clare Janas constructed finishes of 53rd and 57th respectively, to round out scoring for the Green and Gold.

The 2025 USCSA Nationals will conclude on Friday and Saturday with the 15km Classic Mass Start and Team Sprint on the schedule, following a rest day Thursday.
