Box Score
Plattsburgh, NY – With precise passing and another swarming defensive effort, the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team gained its third straight double-digit victory, downing Plattsburgh State 18-4 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Golden Knights improved to 4-2 on the season prior to its trip to Florida where the team will take on Berry College and Western Connecticut State in the next week. The Cardinals fell to 2-3 on the year.

Clarkson scored less than 40 seconds into the game and never trailed during the rout, scoring five goals in the first nine-plus minutes of the contest, with Robert Fox registering two goals and an assist in that stretch. While the Knights were held off the scoreboard for the final five minutes of the first quarter, the team got its offense rolling again in the second, with four goals coming in a stretch of just over seven minutes around the midway point of the quarter. Plattsburgh showed some life with a goal in the final minute, but the Tristen Dillon scored off a pass from Sam Mancabelli with four-tenths of a second remaining to give the Knights an 11-2 lead at the break.

For the second time in three games, Clarkson held its opponent off the scoreboard in the third quarter, allowing the nights to stretch their lead to 13 through 45 minutes. By that point in the game it was a matter of running out the minutes and putting in many reserves, as the Green and Gold cruised to the win.

Robert Fox led the way with a five-point effort, delivering two goals and three assists on the day.
