The Series: The Knights are 10-2 all-time against Brockport, having won five straight games, including a 17-7 victory in 2024 and 16-7 win in 2023. Clarkson has built early leads against Brockport in each of the last two wins. The Knights scored eight straight goals in a stretch of 16 minutes in last year's game, and in the 2023 iteration the Knights opened the game with the first five goals.

Key Stats for Clarkson (0-1): Graduate student Andrew Kearney moved three points closer to 100 for his collegiate career after posting a goal and two assists in the season-opener against Muhlenberg. Kearney has performed well since the rivalry with Brockport was rekindled two years ago, scoring five goals over the two contests. Other upperclassmen have done well against the Golden Eagles, too. Alex Seiler scored three times in last year's win, Vincent Lavarnway notched a pair of assists, and Sam Mancabelli has a goal and an assist in each of the last two years versus Brockport. In the 2023 matchup, Connor Matthews also found the back of the net three times.

Key Stats for Brockport (1-0): A pair of newcomers and one familiar name stood out for the Golden Eagles in their season-opener against Canton. Last year, Nick Askin had five goals for Brockport against Clarkson, but it is his younger brother Nate Askin who had a huge game last week, posting nine points on seven goals and two assists. A year ago, Askin was third on the team in scoring with 28 points on 15 goals and 13 assists. First-year collegian Pierson Jacobs was impressive for Brockport in the opener, adding in five points thanks to four goals and one assist. Additionally, faceoff specialist Nicholas Ange won 13 of his 18 tries and scooped up six groundballs for the Eagles.
