The Series: The Golden Knights have a decided advantage in the all-time series, 37-8, including a win against Potsdam, 11-5, last year. The Bears won the previous matchup in 2021, however, by a score of 16-9 despite Clarkson holding advantages in every other category besides goals.

Key Stats for Clarkson (7-1): The Green and Gold's scoring leaderboard tightened up a bit after Saturday's contest, as four players are within 10 of Thomas Fiebich's team-best 27 points (9-8-27). The biggest jump came from Bryan Penney, who scored four times overall and tallied his 100th career point, as the grad student now has 18 goals and an assist for 19 points. Matt Reilly (12-8-20) and Connor Matthews (19-0-19) have also been steady contributors to the Knights' offense. A year ago, Matthew Hansen was dominant on faceoffs, winning 13 of his 17 tries and snagging nine groundballs. This year he is averaging more than seven groundballs per game and is winning 68.0% of his draws.

Key Stats for SUNY Potsdam (5-2): Like the Knights, Potsdam had a winning streak halted on Saturday as the Bears dropped a 17-7 decision to Oneonta State. The team's leading scorer, Peyton Walsh, recorded just one goal against the Red Dragons, but still has 33 points on 27 goals and six assists through seven contests. Owen Walsh is second on the team in scoring with 24 points (17-7-24) and has tallied at least two points in every game this season. Ben Welch is the team's top defender, with team-highs in both caused turnovers (9) and groundballs (31). Drew Costello has won 50.0% of his faceoffs or more in all seven games (57-for-108) and is second on the team with 22 groundballs.
