The Series: The Golden Knights have controlled the matchup against the Bears since the two teams first met up, winning 36 times in 43 games. Clarkson has won three straight against Potsdam and are 11-1 versus the Bears since 2008.

Key Stats for Clarkson (3-4): Grad students Pierce Currie and Conor Bartlett are pacing the Golden Knights' offense but the duo has plenty of support from teammates their junior. Sophomore Sebastian Geiger is second on the team in goals (16) behind Currie (19) and ranks third in points (21) behind both Bartlett (30) and Currie (22). Bryan Penney and Jay Considine have also each chipped in 17 points. Penney played particularly well against the Bears in 2019, scoring two goals and two assists. Matt Szwagulinski and Connor Borchardt are tied for the team lead with 10 caused turnovers.

Key Stats for Potsdam (4-3): Nearly half of all goals scored by the Bears have been scored by Cam Talcott and Josh Huiatt. Talcott has scored 20 goals and has 26 points overall, while Huiatt leads the team with 30 points on 17 goals and 13 assists. Alex Burley (9-3-12) and Peyton Walsh (5-6-11) have also contributed to the offense. Brandon Smith has won 59.5% of his face-offs (72-for-121) and Dominic Butera leads the team with nine caused turnovers. Ben Fuchs has received all seven starts in the crease for Potsdam, posting an 8.99 goals against average and a .560 save percentage in 320 minutes of play.
