The Series: The Golden Knights are 2-2 all-time against the Cardinals, and Clarkson earned a 14-0 shutout against St. John Fisher back in 2015, the programs first blanking of an opponent since 1966. Many things have changed since that last meeting as the Cardinals have steadily improved, earning an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2019.

Key Stats for Clarkson (3-1 in 2020): The Golden Knights return their top four scorers from a year ago thanks to the decisions made by Conor Bartlett and Pierce Currie to come back for a year of graduate school. Bartlett led the team with 19 points on eight goals and 11 assists, boosting his career totals to 84 goals and 77 assists for 161 points, the 10th most points in program history. Currie was the squad's leading goal scorer with nine tallies a year ago, and he is eyeing a spot in Clarkson's 100-point club with 60 goals and 25 assists in three-plus seasons. Senior Jay Considine (7-5-12) and Bryan Penney (6-1-7) were also off to strong starts, as was first-year collegian Sebastian Geiger (3-2-5). Senior Riley Holzman posted solid numbers on face offs, winning 67.4% of his draws and snagging 29 groundballs. Classmate Kevin Dyckman allowed 8.43 goals per game and stopped 53.0% of the shots he faced.

Key Stats for St. John Fisher (3-2 in 2020): The last five losses for the Saints have come against teams that were ranked in the top 12 in the country, including two losses in 2020 and all three of the team's defeats in 2019. The Cardinals are led by a trio of pre-season All-Americans in seniors Nicholas Miller, Joe Post, and Jack Mulvihill. Miller had an incredible sophomore season in which he scored 114 points on 82 goals and 32 assists in 20 games and he was off to a strong start last year with 19 points (13-6) in five games. Mulvihill also notched 16 points in five games a year ago, following up his strong second year in which he scored 33 goals and 17 assists to go along with 60 groundballs. Post is one of the top faceoff men in the country, recording a 71.5% winning percentage and 69 groundballs, proving his 2019 season was no fluke when he won 70.7% of his draws and scooped up an astounding 244 groundballs.
