After suffering two defeats in Florida on the spring trip, the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team is back in colder climate to take on its crosstown rival SUNY Potsdam on Tuesday evening at Hantz Turf Field.

Live Stats/Live Video

The Series: The Green and Gold dominate the all-time matchup against the Bears with a record of 35-7 overall. The Knights' winning percentage is even higher in more recent years, as Clarkson is 10-1 versus Potsdam since 2008 and 16-2 since 2001.

Key Stats for Clarkson (4-3): Although the score to last year's game (13-8) was not a blow out, the Knights dominated in the other categories, outshooting the Bears 52-28 (32-17 shots on goal) and forcing 19 turnovers while committing just seven. Senior Shane Kilday, who is tied for fourth in scoring this year for the Knights, has enjoyed plenty of success against the Bears in the past two years, scoring three goals and assisting on four others. Junior Conor Bartlett also has produced seven points in the last two years, including four goals and an assist in the 2018 win. Both players picked up three groundballs and caused two turnovers in last year's win as well. Bartlett leads the team in scoring with 25 points (14-11-25) and Evan Burgett and Pierce Currie are tied for second for the Knights with 17 points.

Key Stats for SUNY Potsdam (2-3): The Bears are fairly consistent in their offensive output, ranging from a season-low of eight goals to a season-high of 11 goals. The defensive stopping ability, however, has been all of the map. Potsdam has allowed as many as 23 goals (St. John Fisher) while holding another opponent to just five (Castleton). The most important figure in the Potsdam offense is Josh Huiatt, who leads the team in points with 21 (11-10-21), more than double the points of any other player on the team. Josh Bradford (8 goals) and Sean Coe (6 goals) also contribute to the offense. Cole Zeller (19 groundballs, seven caused turnovers) and Colby Chapman (15 groundballs, eight caused turnovers) are two of the team's top defenders, while Zach Sheridan is averaging 14.8 saves per game with a .540 save percentage.
