The Series: Between the split of divisions and the unbalanced schedule that existed in prior years, Clarkson and Union have only faced each other in a series once since 2018. It's also the first time that the Garnet Chargers have visited Potsdam for a series since 2017.

Key Stats for Clarkson (16-12, 8-7 West Division, #2 seed in West): The Golden Knights' offense has been clicking for most of April, scoring at least six runs in nine of its past 10 games. Sophomore shortstop has been particularly hot, raising his slash line to .378/.432/.598 with 13 extra-base hits. Cam Jerrett got off to a strong start in 2025 and has settled in with a .410/.504/.522 slip for the campaign, while Joe Figliolino is at .317/.450/.577. Figliolino has a team-best 15 extra-base hits and five home runs and needs two more RBI to become the first Clarkson player since 2019 to have 30 runs and 30 RBI in a season. He would be only the fourth Golden Knight in the past decade, joining Brad Pearson (2019), Chris Miller (2016), and Greg Jasek (2016) to reach both those numbers in one campaign.

Key Stats for Union (21-16, 7-5 East Division, #3 seed in East): Despite hitting just .266 on the year, the Garnet Chargers have used the home run ball and plenty of walks to create havoc for opposing pitching staffs. Caleb Miller is tied for third in the Liberty League with seven home runs, while Kyle Zaslaw makes the most of his contact with five home runs as well. Union has a solid 1-2 in its weekend rotation in Chris Suter and Jacob Skarlis. Suter has struck out 42 hitters in 60 innings of work for a 3.30 earned run average, and Skarlis is just behind with a 3.43 earned run average in 44.2 innings on the bump.
