The last regular-season series of April awaits the Clarkson University Baseball team, as the Golden Knights will host Route 11 rival St. Lawrence University for one nine-inning game on Friday and then head to Canton for a doubleheader on Saturday.

The Series: The Saints won two out of three last year, ending a long string of success for Clarkson. The Golden Knights won the series in 2022 (2-1), posted four wins in five games during the 2021 season, and swept the Saints in four games in 2019.

Key Stats for Clarkson (9-16, 2-11 Liberty League): Graduate student Kent Wilson is just two runs shy of 100 for his career and needs three more hits to reach 160 while at Clarkson, which would make him just the seventh player in program history to combine for the two totals. With just the two runs, he would join nine other players as the 150 hits/100 runs club while at Clarkson. Sophomore catcher Joe Figliolino had five hits and an OPS over 1.000 in the weekend series against Hobart College, improving his slash line to .310/.423/.429 for the year.

Key Stats for St. Lawrence (10-17, 4-10 Liberty League): The Saints are tied for second in the Liberty League in home runs with 17, with the majority coming from a group of four players. John Gannon and John Donnellan have each smacked four home runs while Timothy Connor and Jackson Brinker both have three apiece. Connor had a particularly successful series against the Knights last year, going 5-for-9 with five runs scored and six runs batted in, largely coming off three home runs as he went yard in each of the three games. St. Lawrence's pitching staff has a WHIP of nearly 2.00, having allowed 129 walks and hitting 47 batters.
