The Series: Rochester and Clarkson play one another regularly in the conference tournament, so the two teams are quite familiar with one another. In fact, the Golden Knights and Yellowjackets played seven times in 2019, with Clarkson winning three of four in the regular season and one in the conference tournament, but Rochester won two straight to claim the Liberty League title on the championship's final day. Since 2015, Clarkson is 13-8 against the Yellowjackets, going at least .500 in each year, though the two teams did not play in 2018.

Key Stats for Clarkson (8-8, 3-1 Liberty League): After a slow start in which the Knights scored only 17 runs in their first seven games, Clarkson has averaged 11.67 runs per game over its last nine contests. The Knights have scored at least four runs in each of the last nine games after surpassing that figure only twice in its first seven games. Senior Michael Mieczkowski is tied for the Liberty League lead with 23 hits and is batting .383/.471/.433. Sophomore Kent Wilson is tied for third in runs (18) and tied for sixth in runs batted in (14) in the conference with a .379/.449/.586 slash line and classmate Jonathan Irons is batting .348/.455/.413, tied for fifth in the conference in runs scored (17). Clarkson's pitching staff is averaging close to a strikeout per inning, whiffing 129 in 133 innings. The Green and Gold also have the top defensive numbers in the league, with a .967 fielding percentage.

Key Stats for Rochester (10-3, 4-0 Liberty League): The Yellowjackets swept a series against RIT last weekend and have won five straight overall. Aaron Whitley is off to a strong start and is leading the league in several categories, including runs scored (20), hit by pitch (9), and stolen bases (9) as well as a .400/.585/.743 slash line with 14 hits and 10 runs batted in. Steve Pickering is batting .347/.448/.388 with 14 runs and Jacob Matzat is hitting .340/.417/.547 with seven extra-base hits, including two home runs, and 13 runs batted in. The Yellowjackets have swiped 25 bases in 28 tries, while the pitching staff has 87 strikeouts against 61 walks in 105 innings. Rochester is just a few percentage points behind the Knights in fielding percentage at .965.
