CU Baseball Preview - at Oswego State (4/10)

After a one-day delay due to weather concerns, the Clarkson University Baseball team will head to Central New York to take on SUNYAC foe Oswego State on Wednesday afternoon.

The Series: Last year's doubleheader between the two teams was washed out, keeping the Knights from avenging a doubleheader sweep against the Lakers in 2017. Clarkson and Oswego split the two-game set in 2016.

Key Stats for Clarkson (11-7): While the weekend starters likely won't get more than a few innings in a midweek non-league doubleheader, the pitching staff is what has allowed the Golden Knights to get off to a hot start in the Liberty League this season. Clarkson leads the conference in earned run average (4.32) while allowing teams to hit .262, also a league-low. Since league play began, Clarkson has given up just 2.71 earned runs per nine in the past eight games. On offense, Clarkson's Brad Pearson leads the way with a .424/.493/.729 batting line.
