Clarkson opens their 2025 ECAC Playoff run with a home Quarterfinal Series against Quinnipiac. The Knights split with the Bobcats this season with a 3-0 loss on the road and a 3-1 win at home several weeks ago.
The Knights had a trio of players named as ECAC 1st Team All Stars.
Anne Cherkowski and
Nicole Gosling were named to the 1st team and
Haley Winn was also named 1st Team All Star.
Clarkson is 6-4 all time vs the Bobcats in ECAC Playoff action, and 4-3 all time in ECAC Quarterfinal games. The series will be a best of three games with start times at 3:00 pm on Friday, 2:00 pm on Saturday and 2:00 pm on Sunday if necessary.
The Knights have out shot their opponents in 31 of 34 games this season and have held teams to less than 20 shots in 21 games and wear teams down, they have scored 27 goals in the first, 41 in the second, then 53 goals in the final 20+ min.
Last month,
Nicole Gosling became the Golden Knights leader in all time points by a Defense, surpassing Erin Ambrose. Gosling has 143 career points on 42 goals 101 assists, Ambrose had 137 points on 33 goals and 104 assists. Golsing was named the ECAC Defender of the Month for Jan.
Haley Winn has only been held off the scoresheet in 7 games this season.
Coming into the weekend, Clarkson has the 2nd best power play in the nation scoring 33% with the advantage and the nation's 7th best penalty kill at 87.4% Clarkson is the 4th highest scoring team in the nation, with 124 goals and have the 4th best scoring margin at 1.88 and the Knights are 4th in the nation with 327 total team points.
In their 21st season, have made the ECAC Quarterfinals in 19 of their 20 season and qualified for the NCAA Tournament 12 times and has made the 5th most bids for the NCAA Title
