Clarkson heads back into ECAC play as they travel to Brown

After a North Country non-league battle, the Knights will hit the road as they return to ECAC play.  The Golden Knights women's hockey team is set to face off against Brown University in a crucial ECAC Hockey showdown on Friday.  As the season intensifies, both teams are looking to make a statement and solidify their positions in the league standings, Clarkson sits in 7th place with a 3-1-0 record and 8 points, while Brown is 5th place with 12 points.

Clarkson's power play, ranked 2nd nationally, will also be a critical factor in this game. The Golden Knights have consistently capitalized on special teams opportunities, and they'll need to keep that momentum against a Brown team that has had some struggles in penalty kill situations, giving up goals on 9 of 21 chances this season.

What's at Stake...with both teams jockeying for position in the ECAC standings, the result of this game could have significant implications for playoff positioning later in the season. Clarkson has played the fewest league games so far, 4 compared to 8 for Brown.  Brown hopes to continue its upward trajectory and make a case for staying in the top half od the standings.  Brown has shown significant improvement this season, with their best win coming in a 2-1 overtime upset of Quinnipiac.

Puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 PM at Meehan Auditorium in Providence. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and Stretch for International Viewers.
