Riding a 5 game-unbeaten streak, the Clarkson Women's Hockey team will travel to face Brown tonight at Meehan Auditorium in Providence, RI.
The Knights tied and beat SLU last weekend moving them into a 4th place tie in the league with Cornell and helping them maintain their #9 National Ranking. Clarkson is 9-4-1 in ECAC play, good for 28.5 league points. The topw 5 in the league are solidly ahead of the bottom 7, but the fight for home ice will be tight, therefore these league points vs 11th place Brown will be critical. Clarkson has made the ECAC Playoffs in 17 of their 19
seasons.
Coming into the weekend Clarkson is: 9th in the country for Goals scored (88), 8th nationally in assists (152), 9th for team points (240), and 3rd in the nation for team shutouts (8), Clarkson is averaging 3.14 goals per game, 16 for 82 on the power play (19.5%), and 63 for 75 on the penalty kill (84%). The Knights have out shot their opponents in 19 of their 27 games and have allowed 20 shots or less in 15 games this season.
