Clarkson Battles St. Lawrence in Home-&-Home Non-League Series

Unbeaten to start the year and riding a lengthy undefeated streak carried over from last year's championship season, the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team celebrates a big weekend in the North Country as it takes on archrival St. Lawrence in a two-game, non-league, home-and-home series. On Friday, the Golden Knights face off against the Saints in a 3:30 p.m. game at Appleton Arena in Canton and then return to Cheel Arena on Saturday for National Championship Banner Raising Day. Prior to the 3:00 p.m. start to the game, Clarkson will raise its second NCAA Championship Banner, honoring the 2017 title, to go along with the 2014 National Championship Banner.

Guided by 10th-year head coach Matt Desrosiers and assistant coaches Britni Smith and Tony Maci, the Golden Knights are ranked second in the national polls with a 5-0-1 record. The defending national Champions are unbeaten in their last 22 games (20-0-2), dating back to January 20. Clarkson blanked Penn State over the weekend in University Park, PA with a pair of 2-0 victories. The Green and Gold have won five straight and have posted three shutouts already in their 15th season.
