Jerry Coleman is entering his second year as a volunteer assistant coach for the Clarkson University Baseball program.

Coleman is one of the more decorated athletes in the history of Golden Knights baseball, ranking in the top 10 all-time at Clarkson in runs (8th), hits (5th), doubles (4th), triples (4th), home runs (5th), runs batted in (7th), and stolen bases (5th). He was selected as a Liberty League all-star in each of his four seasons with Clarkson, with each coming at a different position. As a freshman, he was an all-star catcher, as a sophomore an outfielder, as a junior a shortstop, and as a senior a second baseman/pitcher (utility player).

A three-time Liberty League All-Academic member with a degree in aeronautical engineering, Coleman also was a standout as a basketball player. Competing as a senior and then as a graduate student, Coleman was a two-time Liberty League All-Star, averaging 13.8 points per game. In just two years, he finished 10th all-time at Clarkson in blocked shots (41).
