Year in and year out the Clarkson University Nordic Ski teams consistently ranks among the top cross country ski teams in the United States Collegiate Ski Association (USCSA). The 2012 winter campaign was the best yet for the Golden Knights, who won the Men's and Women's USCSA National Championships. The Clarkson Women also claimed the title in 1999, while the Golden Knight Men gained honors in 2003 and 2004.
Clarkson stands as a premier team in the USCSA and continually advances to the national championships. Over the past 28 years, the Golden Knights have logged plenty of frequent flyer miles participating in championship sites all over the country. Since 1985, the Clarkson Nordic team has skied in the nationals at resorts from Maine to California and in between. During the regular season, which runs from January to March, Clarkson competes with other teams and clubs from throughout New York and New England. Some of the Knights' best competition comes from schools such as Cornell, West Point, MIT, Yale and Alfred.
