With two games to play on the regular-season schedule for both teams, Wednesday is a key game for controlling destiny for a playoff spot as the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team heads down Route 11 to take on St. Lawrence University.

The Series: Last year the Golden Knights suffered a one-goal loss against the Saints despite trailing for less than 80 total seconds. Clarkson started off with a 6-1 lead through 15 minutes, but St. Lawrence came back to tie the game through three quarters. Neve Ley scored with nine seconds to go to give the Saints the win.

Key Stats for Clarkson (9-6, 3-5 Liberty League): Sophomore goalkeeper Riley Donovan has averaged 10.4 saves per game in the last five contests in which she played the full 60 minutes, including 11 against Skidmore in Clarkson's Saturday victory. Gabby Cranfield is in line to become the third Clarkson player to lead the Liberty League in assists in the past five years, joining Sydney Roderick (2021) and Julia Lavarnway (2023, 2024). Cranfield leads the second-place competitors by 0.60 assists per game and by a total of 11. The recipient of many of those passes, Madelynn Barnum leads the conference in goals by nearly 20, and is atop the goals per game leader board by more than a goal.

Key Stats for St. Lawrence (6-8, 4-4 Liberty League): Courtney Lynn was the difference maker for the Saints a year ago, making 12 saves in crease against Clarkson. This year the Saints will be counting on Zoe Froimovitz, who has a .447 save percentage and a 10.14 goals against average. St. Lawrence's offense is one spot from the bottom in conference, averaging just 8.07 goals per contest, though that number does rise to 9.38 in league contests. Jessica LaPlaca is the team's top scorer at 46 points (33-13-46) while Neve Ley has 22 points thanks to 18 goals. St. Lawrence has a plus-38 in turnover margin.
