The Series: Clarkson split against Skidmore and RPI back in December, beating the Thoroughbreds by 15 and falling to the Engineers by 16. Steve DeRegis posted 17 points in the win over Skidmore and Jack Dalgety netted 16 against the Engineers.

Key Stats for Clarkson (11-12, 7-9 Liberty League): The Golden Knights sit a game behind St. Lawrence for the final playoff spot, but Clarkson holds a tiebreaker against the Saints should the two teams be tied by themselves for the last spot. Clarkson also holds tiebreakers in several scenarios that would include Bard and St. Lawrence in a three-way tie, as well as Hobart, St. Lawrence, and Bard in a four-way tie, though much more will likely be determined after Friday's games. Regardless, Clarkson needs at least one win and some help to get into the playoffs, and even with a 2-0 weekend the team could still find itself out of luck for the conference tournament.

Key Stats for Rensselaer (18-5, 12-4 Liberty League): Although the Engineers have secured a playoff spot, the team has not guaranteed itself a bye for the first round. RPI is also still seeking a regular-season title as the squad is knotted up with Vassar, which holds a tie-breaker against the Engineers at 2-0. The furthest the Engineers can fall is to third. RPI ranks second nationally in scoring defense (57.0 points per game) and is 25th in field goal defense (39.01%).

Key Stats for Skidmore (6-17, 2-14 Liberty League): The Thoroughbreds are one of two teams in the 10-team Liberty League that cannot make the conference tournament, but the team is capable of knocking any team off, as one of their league victories came against Vassar, a team in position to claim the regular-season championship. Three of the team's top four scorers are sophomores, led by Aidan Roy's 13.4 points per game. Skidmore ranks last in the league in field goal percentage, but makes up for it from distance as the team is second in the league 3-pointers made (198).
