After a tough weekend at home vs Cornell and Colgate, the Knights are on the road for two games at RPI and Union.  The Knights dropped to 5th place in the ECAC with the two losses, but still hold a game in hand vs 4th place Quinnipiac and have 5 game remaining against teams ahead of them in the standings.  Before they look that far ahead they will want to take care of business against two opponents looking to avenge losses earlier in the season.  

The Knights shut out RPI back in November 2-0 at Cheel on goals from Madison Chantler and Anne Cherkowski and a 14 save effort from Julia Minotti.  All time, Clarkson is 33-6-2 vs RPI and 14-2-2 at Houston Fieldhouse.  The Knights are back to full health this weekend after a bought of sickness ran through both locker rooms at Cheel.   

On Saturday the Knights will face former long time assistant coach, now Union Head Coach, Tony Maci.  The Knights came out with a 3-2 ot win earlier this year on goals from Sena Catterall, Anne Cherkowski, and the ot game winner from Nicole Gosling.  Minotti made 16 saves against the Garnet Chargers in the win.  Clarkson holds a 40-1 record vs Union all time and is 20-1 at Messa Rink.  This marks the last time Clarkson will play at Messa Rink as Union will move into a new facility next season.  

Despite the two losses, the Knights only dropped 1 spot in the national rankings.  They now sit 7th in both national polls.  They are still the 3rd highest scoring team in the nation and boast the 3rd best power play and 5th best penalty kill in the nation.
