The Series: Clarkson has split a doubleheader with RPI three times, most recently in 2019. The last two doubleheaders have been sweeps for the Engineers as they won last year 3-0 and then 7-3 on a walk-off grand slam in extra innings.

Key Stats for Clarkson (11-19, 3-7 Liberty League): Due to some upsets for teams ahead of them in the standings, the Golden Knights need a strong run in their final four games of Liberty League play. Clarkson has run into some tough arms recently, having accumulated more than two hits just once in the past five games. The Knights still have plenty of capable bats throughout the lineup, including leadoff hitter Katy Aldous, who ranks fifth in the conference in runs scored (26) and is third in the league in steals (12-for-12) with the highest success rate in that category. Devin Fitzpatrick is also slugging .663 with 17 extra-base hits (6 home runs, 11 doubles).

Key Stats for Rensselaer (27-2-1, 8-2 Liberty League): The Engineers, ranked 16th in the country, lead the conference in hitting (.345) and earned run average (1.56), but it really is their pitching that leads the way. RPI has run-ruled teams only six times in 30 games, usually relying on Brooke Sroczinski, Ava Markert, and Alexis Cooke in the circle. Sroczinski is 13-0 with a 0.96 earned run average and 102 strikeouts in 95 innings of work. Markert normally works in relief, posting a 0.80 earned run average with 34 strikeouts in 44 innings and five saves. Offensively, Erin Askins is hitting .426/.533/.564 with 12 extra-base hits and 21 walks. Callista Adorno (.418/.495/.494) and Alex Ledger (.375/.396/.602) are also among the top bats for the Engineers.
