CU Softball Preview - at Rochester/RIT (4/12-13)

It's mid-April and the Clarkson University Softball team will now get into the heart of the season with a number of Liberty League games awaiting, including four in Rochester as the team takes on University of Rochester on Friday and RIT on Saturday.

The Series: The Golden Knights are just 4-17 all-time against Rochester, having lost seven straight since they took the opener of the 2021 four-game series. Clarkson has won 14 consecutive games against RIT and is 16-6 all-time versus the Tigers.

Key Stats for Clarkson (9-11, 1-1 Liberty League): On Tuesday, junior Devin Fitzpatrick homered in her third straight doubleheader since the team returned from Florida, giving her six on the season and placing her in tie for second in the Liberty League. Her six home runs are just one short of the Clarkson program record, a span of 10 seasons prior to 2024. Fitzpatrick ranks fourth in the conference in slugging and is tied for fourth in doubles.
