The Series: The Golden Knights have swept the season series against SUNY Potsdam each of the last two seasons, winning all eight contests. Last year's games were all relatively low scoring, as Clarkson mustered just 19 runs in four games, but that was enough as the Knights' pitching staff allowed the Bears to score just three runs.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-0): The Golden Knights had their earliest home games in program history last week against SUNY Canton, and the doubleheader for Thursday ranks as the second earliest home games. Clarkson showed midseason form on offense, going 25-for-48 (.521 batting average) in two games. Devin Fitzpatrick tossed a five-inning perfect game against the Kangaroos and looks to continue her success against Potsdam. Last season, Fitzpatrick threw two complete game shutouts against the Bears, giving up only seven hits in 14 innings and striking out 13 hitters.

Key Stats for SUNY Potsdam (2-4): Through six games, Kaylee Dobransky is hitting .474 (9-for-19) while Danielle Moscarello (.400) and Anna Grottola (.316) are also adding to the team's offense. That offense will be needed against the Knights, as SUNY Potsdam is hitting just .170 (34-for-200 in the past eight contests versus Clarkson. Lexie Cottrill and Anna Brown have kept Potsdam in games against the Knights. Cottrill has a 3.05 earned run average in 20.2 innings so far this season, while Brown is at 4.85.
