The Series: The first meeting between the Knights and Statesmen ended with a two-point Hobart victory as Aidan Rodgers netted 22 in the win with Isaiah Washington scoring 17 for the visitors. Ryan Miles-Ferguson scored a game-high 24 points for Clarkson as four of the team's five starters were in double figures. Against RIT, Clarkson had its lowest scoring output of 2023-24 in a 67-57 defeat. Unlike the game against Hobart, only one of Clarkson's starters hit double figures as Jack Dalgety had 10 points.

Key Stats for Clarkson (11-8, 5-7 Liberty League): Grad student Ryan Miles-Ferguson has been held to single digits just twice all year, with a season-low of eight points against Oswego State back in mid-November. The standout guard leads the conference in scoring (20.1 points per game) and is also tops in field goals made (123) and free throws made (85) while ranking second in 3-pointers (50). He is one of three Clarkson players in the top 20 in the Liberty League in scoring along with freshman Braeden Burns (15.4 ppg, 4th) and Jack Dalgety (11.2 ppg, 19th). Dalgety is seventh in the conference in 3-pointers made with 38, while Burns is one of only four players in the league with at least 100 field goals made.

Key Stats for Hobart (15-4, 8-4 Liberty League): The Statesmen like to get to the line, leading the conference in free throw attempts (398) while shooting the second-best percentage in the league at 74.6%. Only Clarkson is within 40 made free throws of the Statesmen's 297 makes. This counteracts Hobart's dislike of the 3-point arc. The Statesmen average fewer than 17 attempts from deep per game, with a success rate of just 29.2% and 4.9 makes per game. Hobart also has the top rebounding margin in the conference at plus-5.9. Carter Meshanic averages 12.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, while both Aidan Rodgers (13.2 ppg) and Pat Healy (12.3 ppg) are well into double figures as well.

Key Stats for RIT (9-9, 5-6 Liberty League): No team shares the ball as well as the Tigers, leading the conference with 15.06 assists per contest, with Matt Caggiano (3.1 apg) and Brock Bowen (2.8 apg) ranking in the top 10 in the conference in that category. Both players are in the top 20 in scoring in the league as well at 11.8 ppg and 11.2 ppg, respectively. Chase Dickens averages 12.8 points per contest to lead the team, ranking 11th in the league. The solid passing by the team leads to some easy looks, with the team just a few percentage points shy of leading the Liberty League in field goal percentage at 44.6%.
