Clarkson begins ECAC playoffs

The Clarkson Golden Knights are hosting a home playoff series for the 11th time in their 20-year history. The Knights are 10-1 in ECAC Quarterfinal series held at Cheel Arena. Clarkson will host the Cornell Big Red and team in which they split the season series, both teams winning at home.

Last weekend the Knights ended on a strong note as they hosted a hot Princeton Tigers team and the #6 ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats. Clarkson needed just 22 seconds of overtime to cap a comeback win over Princeton. Stephanie Markowski had a hat trick in the win. Clarkson jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period against Quinnipiac and the lead held to the end for a 2-1 win.

Clarkson moved up to 9th in the NCAA Pairwise, the ranking used by the selection committee to determine the 11 teams that make the NCAA tournament.

Clarkson continues to score at a high pace, they are the 10th best offense in the country, while maintaining the 6th best goals against average in the nation. Stephanie Markowski has made a big impact down the stretch with 5 goals in her last 4 games. The trio of Gabrielle David, Darci Lappan, & Anne Cherkowski continue to lead the team in scoring, while Michelle Pasiechnyk, named ECAC Goaltender of the Month for Dec. and was named to the 2023 National Goalie of the Year Watch List the HCA.
