The Tournament: This is the 13th tournament hosted by Hilbert College that helps raise money for the Buffalo City Mission, with the funds going towards feeding those who struggle around the holiday. There is admission at the door as well as a place for further donations. The Golden Knights will take on host Hilbert at 5:30 pm on Friday with the winner advancing to the championship game at 3:00 pm on Saturday, taking on the winner of Allegheny and Lancaster Bible. The consolation game is set for 1:00 pm on Saturday.

The Series: Clarkson hasn't faced Hilbert since the 2008-09 season, where the Golden Knights won by a large margin. The Green and Gold is 4-1 all-time against the Hawks. The Knights have never faced either Allegheny or Lancaster Bible.

Key Stats for Clarkson (1-0): Evident from the first outing of the season, the Golden Knights will continue their guard-heavy look, though the team does offer a bit more size. Junior Matteo Sinon scored a career-best 22 points in the season-opener, while Ryan Miles-Ferguson also tossed in 15 points. Newcomer Braeden Burns serves as a swingman and fellow freshman Ben Phillips also saw time at forward. Along with Finn Cork, Aydin Kocak, and Jack Dalgety, that puts the Knights with five players at 6-4 or taller in the rotation.

Key Stats for Hilbert (12-13 in 2022-23): Quran Briggs was selected as the favorite to win Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Year honors this season after scoring 18.9 points per game a season ago. Briggs is a volume shooter and can get to the rim as evidenced by his 380 field goal attempts and 109 free throws. Despite there being volume, he is efficient on his shoots at 47.4% from the field. The Hawks have their top six scorers returning overall, with Edward Perez (11.9 ppg), Nevada Eldridge (10.6 ppg), Eric Jackson (10.0 ppg), Shaheem Ellis (9.9 ppg), and Jahmel Demery (9.5 ppg) all back in 2023-24.
