Looking to head into the break over .500 in league play, the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team will take on its Route 11 rival St. Lawrence University on Wednesday at Alumni Gymnasium.

The Series: Wednesday's game will mark the 200th time the two teams have met since the 1928-29 season, which is as far back as consistent records go in the Golden Knights' record book. Clarkson has won 62 of those contests, including the lone meeting in 2020-21. St. Lawrence picked up two of its 137 victories last year.

Key Stats for Clarkson (3-3, 1-1 Liberty League): The early season has seen many different players step up, either coming off the bench or in the starting lineup, but the most consistent scorer in 2022 has been senior guard Ryan Miles-Ferguson. With six straight double-digit scoring games, Miles-Ferguson ranks among the Liberty League leaders in scoring (17.3 ppg) and field goal percentage (52.8%) while also averaging 4.5 rebounds per game. Classmate Blake Gearhart has come on of late and edged his numbers upwards to 12.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. Junior guard Garret Delaney provides a solid scoring spark off the bench and is averaging 9.8 points per game in just a little over 16 minutes per contest, shooting 55.2% from beyond the 3-point arc.  

Key Stats for St. Lawrence (4-2, 1-1 Liberty League): The Saints usually employ a zone defense, and it has forced 18.3 turnovers per game, giving St. Lawrence a league-best turnover margin of plus-4.8 turnovers per contest. Trent Adamson is averaging team-bests of 14.0 points and 7.2 rebounds per game while shooting 53.0% from the floor, and Trey Syroka chips in 12.5 points and 3.5 assists per contest while also shooting above 50% from the field. Sophomores Aidan and Gavin Macaulay are combining to score just under 21 points per game. Overall, the Saints are shooting 45.6% from the floor.
