The Series: Oswego narrowly leads the all-time matchup with 18 wins in 35 games, but the Lakers have won six straight. Clarkson's last win against Oswego State came in 2014-15, a six-point victory on the road.

Key Stats for Clarkson (0-1): The Golden Knights faced a strong Plattsburgh State team in the season-opener and performed well in a five-point loss, but Clarkson will need to get its 3-point shooting game on track. Garret Delaney scored a career-high 18 points thanks to five 3-pointers on only eight attempts, but the remainder of the team shot just 2-for-18 from beyond the arc. Ryan Miles-Ferguson and Blake Gearhart combined for 39 of Clarkson's 67 points against the Lakers last year while the rest of the team had 28 on 9-for-33 shooting. The same occurred the previous meeting in 2019 when Reese Swedberg and Chris Hulbert produced 50 total points out of Clarkson's 72.

Key Stats for Oswego State (2-0): The fifth-rated Lakers opened the year with a couple of double-digit victories over the weekend. Ahkee Anderson is averaging 18 points per game while shooting 50% from the floor, while both Jeremiah Sparks (11.0 ppg, 9.0 rpg) and Cartier Bowman (9.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg) are just shy of averaging double-doubles in the early going. Sparks was the team-leading scorer last year with 18 points, while Kaleb Cook has averaged 17.5 points per game in two meetings against the Knights, including a 20-point effort in just 23 minutes back in 2019.
