Clarkson came up with one of their most impressive road weekend sweeps in recent memory as they completed the sweep today with a 3-2 win over #4 ranked Quinnipiac.
Caitrin Lonergan earned her 200th career point with the assist on
Gabrielle David's goal to open the scoring near the midway point of the 2nd period. The Knights went up 2-0 early in the 3rd when
Florence Lessard got her first college goal. The Bobcats made it 2-1 a minute later, but at 3:34
Nicole Gosling scored to put the Knights back up by two. Quinnipiac was able to pull within 1 goal, but
Michelle Pasiechnyk was able to shut the door on the extra attacker power play to seal the win.
With the win the Knights move to a 3.5 point lead over Quinnipiac for the ECAC league lead and land their best win this season in Pairwise Ranking consideration.
Clarkson will be at Cornell and Colgate next weekend.
