The Series: The Golden Knights improved to 8-2 against the Kangaroos with a doubleheader sweep over Canton in late March. Clarkson needed just five innings in each game to run-rule the Roos, winning 9-0 and 13-2.

Key Stats for Clarkson (12-6): The Green and Gold missed out on their four-game series against Skidmore this past weekend, so the last action for the Knights was a split against Plattsburgh on April 14th. Junior Kayla Robert increased her hitting streak to 25 games, which includes the final seven contests of 2020 and all 18 games in 2021. She is among the Liberty League leaders in all offensive categories and is batting .567/.606/.867 with 10 extra-base hits in 25 runs batted in. Sophomore Bridget Twaits has appeared in Clarkson's last five doubleheaders and has multi-hit games in five of those 10 contests to push her batting average to .488. Clarkson has the top pitching staff in the Liberty League with a 1.69 earned run average. Although Olivia Zoeller leads the conference in virtually every category, the depth goes beyond her as both Emily McBath (2.42 ERA) and Riley Page (3.19 ERA) have proven to be excellent inning eaters with 33 strikeouts in 63.1 innings with a collective .255 opponents' batting average.

Key Stats for SUNY Canton (1-12): The Roos have lost 12 straight after a season-opening win against St. Lawrence, though three of those games have been decided by two runs or fewer. Jordan Knapp is hitting .529/.514/.618 by going 18-for-34 with three doubles and seven runs batted in, becoming a rare player with a higher batting average than her on-base percentage. Mackenzie Currie also has scored nine runs and driven in five thanks to a .378/.439/.514 slash line. The Roos have stolen just seven bases in 13 games and have just a handful of sacrifice hits. Kayla Chavarri has a 4.63 earned run average in 39.1 innings and has struck out 51 hitters with just 10 walks. However, Chavarri and two other pitchers are allowing a .380/.444/.518 slash line to opponents and have been outscored 116-40.
