The Series: The teams will meet for the second time in two weeks, which happen to be the first two times they have ever met. In the first go-round, Bryant & Stratton gained an 86-78 win.

Key Stats for Clarkson (1-1): Though it is early in the season, Clarkson has played in stark contrast to its opponents, using the 3-point shot as a key weapon in its offensive arsenal while the opposition tends to use more of an inside game. This comes through clearly in the statistics, as Clarkson has made 27 3-point field goals against just nine for its opponents. That strategy has also put Clarkson on the short end in free throws, as Bryant & Stratton and Villa Maria have combined to make 45 free throws, which is 13 more makes than the Knights have even attempted. Junior Chris Hulbert is averaging 18.5 points per game while senior Jason Phelps is averaging 14.0 points per contest. In the last outing, Phelps scored 26 in 26 minutes of play, a career-high. Sophomore guard Blake Gearhart is averaging 10.0 ppg coming off the bench.

Key Stats for Bryant & Stratton (5-3): The Bobcats shot just 2-for-12 from the 3-point line in the first meeting, but it mattered little since they made nearly two-thirds of their shots from inside the arc (28-for-43). Five players are averaging double figures for the Bobcats, led by junior forward Sam Dorissaint's 13.5 points per game on 56.3% shooting. He is joined by Shyquinn Dix ((13.0 ppg), Eric Waters (11.6 ppg), Danny Turkvan (10.6 ppg), and Tyrell Mitchell (10.1 ppg). That starting five is also collectively shooting better than 50% from the floor. Waters and Turkvan are each averaging more than 6.5 rebounds per game and Dix is the team's top playmaker with 5.3 assists per contest. The team gets up and down the floor, averaging 82.4 points per game, an impressive figure since the team is making fewer than six 3-pointers per contest.
