Having erupted offensively for four goals against SUNY Canton on Tuesday night, the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team rediscovered its offensive production and the team hopes to maintain that momentum when they face Plattsburgh State at 2:00 pm on Saturday afternoon.

Live Stats/Live Video

The Series: Clarkson has struggled against the Cardinals the last two decades, having lost 19 straight dating back to the 1998 season. Clarkson's last win against Plattsburgh came in the 1998 regular-season finale, a 2-1 win that helped lift the Knights to an NCAA Tournament berth.

Key Stats for Clarkson (3-3):  After being held scoreless in back-to-back 1-0 losses, the Golden Knights tallied four first-half goals before letting off the pedal against SUNY Canton. Junior midfielder Mack Walton was the star of the show scoring once and assisting on two other goals in just 31 minutes of action against the Roos. The offensive showing increased Walton's season total to 18 shots this year, 10 more than any other player on the team. No current players for the Golden Knights have scored against the Cardinals.

Key Stats for Plattsburgh (2-4):  Despite having a 2-4 record, the Cardinals have had little trouble finding the back of the net, scoring 13 goals in six games. Plattsburgh lost two of their top three scorers from a year ago but have replaced them with a trio of talented freshmen. Taka Fukushima led the Cardinals last year with four goals and two assists in 18 games, but freshman Devin Lambe has matched that output with four goals on six shots and has two assists in his first six collegiate games to lead the Plattsburgh attack. Classmates Cole Weiner (3-0) and Alex Graci (2-2) are tied for second on the team in points (6). On the flip side, the Cardinals have struggled on the back end. Junior Ryan Wilson has allowed 14 goals thus far on 58 shots faced after allowing 18 goals on 173 shots faced all of last season. Wilson has 13 saves and owns a .481 save percentage.
