Even the most weather savvy and understanding fans' heads are spinning with all of the changes in recent days (or hours), but the Clarkson University Softball team will now host SUNY Potsdam in a doubleheader at 3:00 pm on Thursday at Scott Field.

The Series: After losing two of the first three games in 2014-2015, the Knights have won six straight and lead 7-2 in the all-time series. In each of the last two years' doubleheaders, the Knights have won one lopsided game but also eked out one-run run victories.

Key Stats for Clarkson (14-10): Freshman Olivia Zoeller posted a 1.00 earned run average over the weekend, including a three-hitter against nationally-ranked Ithaca, a team that is collectively hitting .325 and averaging close to six runs per game. For the year, Zoeller owns a 2.36 earned run average (sixth in the Liberty League), a 1.17 WHIP and 53 strikeouts (third in the conference) in 65.1 innings. While Clarkson was unable to push any runs across in 14 frames against Ithaca, the team is still hitting .298/.344/.412. Graduate student Raeanna Dunn leads the league in hits (37) and ranks third in both hitting (.446) and on-base percentage (.521). Following a slow start in Maryland, sophomore outfielder Rylee LeBourveau is hitting .351 over her last 20 games.

Key Stats for SUNY Potsdam (5-13): After a solid start to the season that saw the Bears just two games under .500 after their Florida trip, Potsdam has gone 0-6 upon its return to Northern New York. Megan Fish is the team's top hitter with a .472/.525/.528 mark with 19 runs batted in, accounting for nearly 40% of the team's scoring (24 runs produced/63 total runs). Brooke Falsion is on the other end of that spectrum, having scored 18 times and accounting for 33% of the team's run production thanks to a .382/.433/.491 batting line. The team is hitting .281/.339/.343 overall, but those numbers drop by 25 points across the board when Fish is eliminated from the totals. Potsdam has struggled in the circle this year, allowing more than two baserunners per inning (2.04 WHIP) and a 5.71 earned run average.
