Looking to rebound from a loss in the season-opener, the Clarkson University Women's Lacrosse team will be back in action on Thursday with another relocated game as the Golden Knights will host SUNY Potsdam at Hantz Turf Field.

Live Stats/Live Video

The Series: The Knights own a 15-8 all-time mark against SUNY Potsdam, but the two teams have split the last 10 contests evenly. Clarkson is 3-0 since 2015, including wins in the last two years by a combined score of 27-9.

Key Stats for Clarkson (0-1): While the usual scorers for the Knights were somewhat muted due to assorted nagging maladies, Clarkson's freshmen picked up the slack in the first game of the year against Oswego State. Sydney Roderick scored four points on three goals and an assist and Mia Petrone chipped in two more goals for the Knights. Abby Collins was limited to just one goal against Oswego, but she contributed four groundballs, three caused turnovers and five draw controls in the game. Both Collins and Jaid Baytos scored three times each in last year's 15-4 victory over Potsdam. Clarkson led in all aspects of last year's game, including shots (38-12), groundballs (25-20) and draw controls (15-6).

Key Stats for Potsdam State (1-1): It may be a little early to call the Bears improved from last year, but the early results are certainly positive. Cayla O'Connor, the team's leading scorer a year ago (32-12-44) has opened the season with 6 points, 7 groundballs and 11 draw controls, with no other player gaining more than two thus far. Alli Stark, who contributed 29 points in 2018 (24-5-29), is also off to a quick start with six points on four goals and two assists. In two games, Katie Longamore has produced a 6.00 goals against average and a .556 save percentage, numbers better than her season-long performance from last year (9.34 goals against average, .518 save percentage).
