Knights Rebound with 11-4 Win Over Geneseo

Geneseo, NY – With three goals in the first four minutes and five in the first quarter, the Clarkson University Men's Lacrosse team jumped out to a big lead early and never looked back, gaining an 11-4 victory against SUNY Geneseo on Friday afternoon.

The Golden Knights improved to 4-1 overall and will head to Florida for games against Cortland State and Babson College next week. Geneseo dropped to 1-4 on the year.

Clarkson controlled all facets of the game on Friday, owning a 38-29 edge in shots (22-14 shots on goal), 33-20 lead in groundballs and a 13-6 record on faceoffs. The Green and Gold jumped out to a quick lead with Conor Bartlett scoring at 13:21 and, after Bryan Penney scored at 12:31, tallied again at 11:42 to put Clarkson up 3-0 with fans still settling in.
