Only one game remains before the mid-semester break for the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team as the Golden Knights will take a break from conference action with a non-league matchup against Utica College on Saturday afternoon.

Live Stats/Live Video

The Series: The Golden Knights have won 27 of the previous 48 meetings against Utica, dating back to the end of World War II, but the two squads have met only once in the past decade, an 82-79 victory for the Pioneers in a neutral-site tournament back in the 2011-12 season.

Key Stats for Clarkson (3-5 overall): Chris Hulbert nailed seven 3-pointers in the win over St. Lawrence on Tuesday and is now on pace for 97 this year, which would tie the single-season mark at Clarkson, set by Felix Llanos back in the 2011-12 season. Hulbert is averaging 17.8 points per game and has scored in double figures in six of his past seven games. He is shooting 43.1% from beyond the 3-point arc so far and leads the conference with 31 makes from distance. Reese Swedberg moved his numbers to a near double-double average after Tuesday's win, scoring 13.5 points per contest to go along with 8.8 rebounds. Matt Higgins inched closer to the 1000-point mark for his career and is just 31 tallies away from the four-figure mark.

Key Stats for Utica (5-2 overall): The Pioneers are averaging more than 78 points per game, but the difference from their peak to their low is considerable. Against Cazenovia, Utica tossed in 115 points, but the team has been below 60 points on two occasions as well, both of which turned out to be defeats. Six players are close to double figures, with five actually surpassing the total. Darius Hopkins leads the team with 12 ppg, shooting 91.3 percent from the free throw line, while Hunter Remley is averaging 11.3 ppg on 51.0 percent shooting from the floor. Kobe Lufkin (11.0 ppg), Brett Talberg (10.4 ppg) and Thomas Morreale (10.1 ppg) are also in double figures, with Morreale also contributing 6.0 rebounds per contest. Kimedrick Murphy is averaging close to a double-double, but is below the mark in each category, scoring 9.4 points and grabbing 8.7 rebounds per contest.
