Playing its fourth game in eight days, the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team will face its toughest challenge yet, taking on top-25 ranked Oswego State in its home opener on Tuesday night at Alumni Gymnasium.

The Series: Clarkson leads the all-time series by a single game, 17-16, but the Lakers have won four straight and five of the last six against the Golden Knights. Oswego won by 20 last year thanks to a 17-for-35 effort from beyond the 3-point arc.

Key Stats for Clarkson (2-1): Senior Matt Higgins and sophomore Chris Hulbert have combined to score 77 points (38.5 ppg) in the last two contests, and Higgins is averaging a team-best 17.7 points per game. After a slow start in the opener, Hulbert ranks second on the team in scoring at 13.7 points per contest and he has made nine 3-pointers in the last two contests. Junior Roburt Welch has enjoyed some solid success against Oswego in the last two years, averaging 12.0 points per game off the bench. Sophomore Reese Swedberg nearly recorded a double-double as a freshman against Oswego last season with nine points and nine boards.
