Looking to bring some momentum into the second semester, the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team will head down Route 11 to face its nearest rival St. Lawrence University on Tuesday evening.

The Series: Over the past 90 years, Clarkson and St. Lawrence have played nearly 200 times, but the Golden Knights have enjoyed the upper hand in the last five years, winning eight of 10 contests. The Green and Gold won both games last year, winning at home 86-58 and on the road 81-65.

Key Stats for Clarkson (0-7, 0-2 Liberty League): Friday night the Golden Knights scored 84 points, but allowed 96 in a loss to Rensselaer. On Saturday, the Clarkson defense showed up to limit Skidmore to only 67 points but the Knights could muster just 57 points. Matt Higgins leads the team in scoring at 12.3 points per game, but has averaged 15.5 over the last four. First-year collegian Chris Hulbert, recently named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week, averaged 17.0 points per game over the last week and ranks second on the team in scoring at 11.1 ppg for the season.

Key Stats for St. Lawrence (3-4, 1-1 Liberty League): St. Lawrence is shooting 45.6% from the field as a team, but allows opponents to shoot 50.0% from the floor overall and 42.6% from beyond the arc, numbers similar to Clarkson's defense (50.1%, 41.1% from 3). Riley Naclerio is averaging 14.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, shooting 47.0% from the floor, though his numbers inside the arc are much better (64.4%). Ben Crawford is also chipping in 13.3 points and 7.6 rebounds per contest, shooting 60.9% from the field, while freshman Luke Hicks is contributing 10.1 points and 4.0 assists per contest.
