A week long break for the Clarkson University Men's Basketball team is just what the Golden Knights may have needed as they look to get on the winning track starting with a game against SUNY Potsdam on Tuesday night.

Live Stats/Live Video

The Series: Though the Golden Knights have won only 24 times in 76 games against the Bears all-time, Clarkson is on a six-game winning streak against SUNY Potsdam. The Green and Gold have won 11 times in the last 12 meetings as well.

Key Stats for Clarkson (0-4): The Golden Knights are likely just one strong shooting game from getting on track, but the results from the perimeter over the last three games have held the team back. Clarkson is shooting 28.3% from beyond the 3-point arc (41-for-145), exacerbating its rebounding difficulties with a deficit of 10.5 rebounds per game. The good news for Clarkson is that Potsdam is only shooting 30.0% from the 3-point line (24-for-80) and the Knights could make up points in a hurry. The Knights shot 13-for-26 from the arc last year at SUNY Potsdam.

Key Stats for SUNY Potsdam (1-3): What the Bears lack in much of a 3-point presence they make up for with an innate ability to get to the free throw line, averaging 25.3 free attempts per contest (72.3%). Danny Delsol-Lowry ranks fourth on the team in scoring (10.5 ppg), but he has played well against Clarkson the last two years, scoring 14 points with five boards in last year's contest and recording a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds in the 2016-17 season. Dante Langley (16.8 ppg) and Nosa Onabor (14.8 ppg) join Delsol-Lowry on a veteran-laden squad.
