Knights Return to Play With Road Trip to Brown and Yale

With a week off from action, Clarkson University is well rested and ready to resume the challenge of defending its ECAC Hockey title when the Golden Knights return to league play this weekend.  Ranked No. 3 in the national polls with a 9-1 overall record, Clarkson holds a 2-0 conference mark. Guided by 11th-year head coach Matt Desrosiers and assistants Britni Smith and Tony Maci, the Knights make one of their longer league road trips this weekend when they play Brown and Yale in Providence, RI and New Haven, CT, respectively.

In its last action, the Knights swept Union (5-1) and RPI (3-0) at Cheel Arena in the ECAC Hockey openers on November 2-3 to run their winning streak to five games.

The Bears are 4-0 at Meehan Auditorium and swept league powers Colgate (4-3) and Cornell (4-3) in their last action at home on November 2-3. This past weekend Brown traveled to Albany, but were unable to capitalize on their big wins from the previous week, losing 1-0 at RPI and tying Union 2-2.

Scouting Yale:
The Bulldogs, who host St. Lawrence on Friday, enter the weekend at 1-5-0 with all their action coming in ECAC Hockey play. The Bulldogs picked up their first victory this past weekend, winning 6-1 at Union. Yale lost to RPI the following night 2-1.
