CU Volleyball Preview - vs. St. Lawrence University (9/27)

Looking to remain unbeaten in conference play, the Clarkson University Volleyball team will be back at home on Wednesday to take on Route 11 rival St. Lawrence University at Alumni Gymnasium.

The Series: The Golden Knights lead in the all-time match up by just a single game (63-62), but they have been dominant since 2011, winning all 12 meetings. In fact, the Golden Knights didn't allow St. Lawrence to reach 20 points in any of the six sets in 2016.

Key Stats for Clarkson (7-6, 2-0 Liberty League): After falling briefly to second in the nation, sophomore libero Kate Isaksen is back to the top spot for digs per set in all of Division III, averaging 6.78 per set. She helps the Knights to the 11th spot nationally with 19.64 digs per set. Clarkson's defense has also played well on serve receive, getting aced only 1.24 times per set, including only three total in six sets over the past weekend.

Key Stats for St. Lawrence (10-5, 1-1 Liberty League): Senior setter Katie Kull has done an excellent job distributing the ball on offense, averaging 11.04 assists per set, which ranks fourth nationally. She leads the conference in that category and is joined by Amanda Teppo at one of the top spots, with the sophomore middle averaging a conference best 0.94 blocks per set. Clarkson will be tested by senior Masha Kolesnikova, who leads the conference in aces with 38.
