CU Men's Soccer Preview - vs. Ithaca College (9/23)

Renewing an old league rivalry, the Clarkson University Men's Soccer team will take on Ithaca College in a conference game for the first time in more than two decades when the two teams faceoff at 2:00 pm on Saturday at Hantz Turf Field.

LIVE STATS/LIVE VIDEO

The Series: What was once an annual event even when the two teams split into separate conferences in the early 1990s, the series went dormant for 15 years before the two teams played last year. The Golden Knights won the 45th all-time meeting by a score of 2-0 in 2016, but still trail 15-29-1 in the rivalry that dates back to 1958.

Key Stats for Clarkson (4-3-0): The Golden Knights have scored just once in the past three games and will be looking to break out of their mini-slump. Kevin Calnan scored both goals for the Knights against Ithaca last year, with Brian Kroetz and Erick Naula assisting. It was Naula's first collegiate point.

Key Stats for Ithaca (4-2-1): The Bombers have recorded shutouts in three of their past four games, allowing three goals on 40 total shots in that span. The sophomore class accounts for half of the Bombers scoring with seven goals, led by Max Barish's nine points (four goals, one assist).
