Inclement Weather Finishes Off Liberty League Softball Tournament

Continued rain and poor field conditions prematurely concluded the Liberty League Softball Tournament, ending the Clarkson University Softball team's hopes of claiming their first conference title.

The Golden Knights (22-17) advanced to the championship round with a win over RIT on Saturday afternoon, but Rensselaer (25-12) defeated Clarkson in the first game on Saturday and was the first team to two wins, giving the Engineers the conference's automatic bid.

Senior pitcher Jamie Bridge, junior shortstop Raeanna Dunn, and freshman second baseman Kyrstin Messier were named to the Liberty League All-Tournament team.
