With one of the top scoring offenses in the conference, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team will move into conference play as the Golden Knights travel to RIT for the Liberty League opener on Saturday.

Clarkson is 4-3-0 after seven nonconference games. The Golden Knights have already scored 22 goals this season, which is the second highest total in the Liberty League. Leading the way is Lauren Flynn, who has seven goals and one assist for a team high 15 points. Flynn is second in the conference in points and tied for first in goals. Flynn is also moving up on the career scoring leaderboards for Clarkson. She is now tied for third in career goals with 18 and is seventh in career points. After scoring seven goals in the 2015 season, Flynn is now just the second Clarkson player to ever score at least seven goals in two different seasons. She also needs just one point to tie her single season career high of 16.

In goal, Elyse Green and Nicole Zlotnick have split time. Green started the first six games and made 12 saves and completed one shutout. Zlotnick appeared in two of those games before making her first start in Clarkson's most recent game, a 2-1 loss to Potsdam.

RIT comes in with a 4-2-1 overall record this season. After starting just 1-1-1, the Tigers won three of its last four games, with the only defeat a 4-0 loss vs Nazareth. Anka Parzych has a team-high nine points on four goals and one assist. She has three game-winning goals. Clarkson has a 6-22-2 overall record against RIT and last defeated the Tigers in 2014. The Golden Knights won 1-0 in 2014, before RIT bounced back with a 2-1 win in 2015.

The two teams will kick off at 3:00 pm in Rochester on Saturday afternoon.
