Clarkson will try to defeat Plattsburgh in consecutive years for the first time.

Nearly halfway through the conference schedule, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team will test its mettle against non-conference foe Plattsburgh State on Tuesday night.
 
Clarkson is 4-6-0 overall this season and 0-3-0 in the Liberty League. Clarkson fell to Vassar and Bard over the weekend, but in the Vassar game, Lauren Flynn scored her career-high eighth goal of the season. With her 17 points this season, Flynn now has 42 for her career, tying her for sixth on Clarkson's all-time list. Flynn is also tied for second all-time in career goals scored with 19. Her 34 combined points in the past two seasons are the most for a Clarkson player since Shannon McCann notched 44 between the 1994 and 1995 seasons.
 
Plattsburgh has a 7-4-0 overall record and is a perfect 3-0-0 to start its SUNYAC schedule. The Cardinals have been unbeatable at home, going 6-0-0 in friendly confines and outscoring opponents 29-2 in the six contests. Clarkson will be the fifth Liberty League opponent on the Cardinals' schedule, with Plattsburgh beating Union and losing to Skidmore, St. Lawrence, and RPI. Anissa Hartman, Madeline Saccocio, and Sarah Haight lead Plattsburgh with eight, seven, and six goals respectively. Clarkson has an all-time record of 4-28-0 against Plattsburgh, but earned a 2-1 win in 2015 and is 2-2-0 in the last four meetings. In the 2015 meeting, Flynn and Summer Gillespie each notched a goal and an assist with Flynn scoring the game-winning goal in the 77th minute.
 
The two teams will meet in Plattsburgh on Tuesday night with the game kicking off at 6:00 pm.
