Nearly halfway through its conference schedule, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team will take a break from Liberty League action when it travels to Utica for a 7:00 pm game against the Pioneers on Tuesday night.

Clarkson holds an overall record of 6-3-1 and is 0-2-1 in the Liberty League while Utica is 2-7-2 overall and is 0-3-0 in Empire 8 games.

The Golden Knights finished up the weekend with a 0-1-1 record in their two games. On Friday, the Green and Gold fell to Bard 2-0. It was only the second time this season that Clarkson had been held without a goal and allowed multiple goals in a game.

On Saturday, Clarkson bounced back by playing Vassar to a 1-1 draw. Clarkson opened the scoring at the 35 minute mark when Rachel Loecher's cross found the head of Courtney Black who pushed the ball inside the far post. Clarkson could not hold the lead though, with Vassar tying the game with less than 10 minutes to play. The game remained tied after two overtime periods for the first conference point for Clarkson.

Utica comes into Tuesday having lost five consecutive games, scoring only one goal in that span. The Pioneers dropped a 2-0 decision to Nazareth College on Saturday. Utica has also lost to both Elmira and SUNY Potsdam, two teams that Clarkson has defeated this season. Jenna Mazza leads the team with four goals while Abby Reilly and Keri Berkowitz have a pair of scores. Clarkson holds an all-time record of 9-5-1 against Utica. The two teams have only met once since 2007, with Utica winning 1-0 last year in Potsdam.
