Clarkson fell to St. Lawrence 2-0
Box Score
In the final game of the year, the Clarkson University Women's Soccer team fell to visiting St. Lawrence 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Clarkson finishes their season with a record of 6-10-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the Liberty League while St. Lawrence is 12-5-1 and 4-3-1 in the conference.

Both teams came out strong in the first half, but it would be the Saints who got the first goal. In the 22nd minute, Mackenzie Collins played a cross along the ground and Samantha Rock was able to slot it into the net. St. Lawrence would double their lead ten minutes later when Katie Stames scored off a Hannah Merriam cross.

Clarkson regrouped at halftime and played a strong second half. They began to take more shots and played dangerous balls into the Saints box. The Golden Knights had a great chance to score late in the second half after the ball was knocked past onrushing St. Lawrence keeper Kelsey West, but a Saints defender was there to clear it before the ball crossed the goal line. West would finish with five saves to complete her shutout.

"I'm very proud of the way the girls have competed all year long," said head coach Sarah Raymond. "Our five seniors have been leaders on and off the field and have guided this team to our most successful season in Liberty League play. I'm looking forward to next season with the players we have returning and continuing to improve.
