Princeton, NJ - Senior captain Kimberly McKenney (Smiths Falls, ONT) scored her third goal of the season with only 10 seconds remaining on an overtime power play as the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team completed a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Princeton Saturday afternoon at Hobey Baker Rink.

The Golden Knights improved to 6-5-3 overall and 4-1-1 in league play, gaining their seventh point out of a possible eight in their last four contests. Princeton dropped to 4-6 overall and 2-4 in league play.

A 17-3 drubbing in shots in the first period by Princeton went for naught as the Golden Knights got on the scoreboard first when freshman Juana Baribeau (Amos, QUE) scored an unassisted power play marker at 8:51 of the first frame, her seventh score of the season. Princeton was quick to tie the game up, however, when Julie Johnson scored her first of the season at 11:57.

After getting dominated in the first period, the two teams played even for the remainder of the contest as the Knights got their skates firmly underneath themselves. Unfortunately, the new-found steadiness didn't produce any goals, and when Princeton scored a third-period power play goal midway through the fame, things didn't look good for the Knights. Just over a minute after the Tigers took a 2-1 lead, junior Tegan Schroeder (Lumsden, SASK) scored her first goal as a Golden Knight with Melissa Waldie (Newmarket, ONT) and Britney Selina (Thornhill, ONT) assisting.

In overtime, the Tigers were assessed with a checking penalty just 15 seconds into the extra frame. It took three shots and 1:50 of power play possession before Clarkson finally scored the game-winner, as McKenney scored for the third time this season with assists going to Marie-Jo Gaudet (Sherbrooke, QUE) and Selina.

Sophomore goaltender Lauren Dahm (Baldwinsville, NY) made 35 saves for the Knights and Kristen Young stopped 19 shots for the Tigers, as Princeton held a 37-22 edge in shots thanks to the first-period edge. Clarkson went 2-for-4 on the power play while the Tigers were 1-for-7.

Selina's assists on the final two goals gives her four helpers on Clarkson's last five goals and five assists on the Knights' last seven scores. She became the Green and Gold's all-time leader in assists Friday night when she assisted on the game's final goal, giving her 51. She passed recently graduated Brooke Beazer in that category.
